The material will be used to ensure a m;n;trnan of 4 (four) <br />feet of suitable medium coverage wer the West Ridge coal waste. Cyprus Orchard <br />Valley anticipates that the distribution of approximately 17,000 CY of <br />intermediate material will be needed to accomplish this task. <br />Since the material to be moved is located in an existing intesn~ediate material <br />stockpile, topsoil salvage will not be necessary; topsoil was moved prior to <br />construction of the stockpile. If the available reserves of the stockpile are <br />not sufficient to properly cover the waste material, additional excavation will <br />occur at the same site. <br />As you are aware, the flexibility to use this entire area as a waste disposal <br />site was previously requested by the mining operation and was subsequently <br />approved. The Waste Pile, including both the West and East Ridge, is discussed <br />in greater detail within the permit. Therefore, portions of the permit doclmlent <br />have not been revised. <br />Jeff, I appreciate your assistance with the review of this material.
