NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to Approve with conditions Permit <br />Renewal Application No. 6 (RN-6), submitted by CAM Mining LLC for a coal mining permit at the <br />McClane Canyon Mine (Permit No. C-1980-004). The proposed renewal will allow for continued mining <br />and reclamation operations at the site. <br />The McClane Canyon Mine is located in Garfield County, approximately 20 miles north of Loma, Colorado, <br />Colorado. Coal interest at this underground mine is Federal and Private, and the surface to be affected is <br />Federal and Private land. The permit azea encompasses approximately 2,560.50 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all requirements <br />of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101 et seq., C.R.S., and the <br />regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />A copy of the "Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance", including any stipulations, is on file for <br />public inspection at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215 Centennial <br />Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety, 101 South 3`d, Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, and at the Mesa County Courthouse, 6`h <br />and Rood, Grand Junction, Colorado. Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the <br />proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed <br />decision. Such request must be directed to the Division's Denver address, made within thirty (30) days of <br />the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing and must state with reasonable specificity the reasons <br />for the request and the objections to the proposed decision. <br />
