McCluskey
Executive Vice President
Cotter Corporation
9305 W. Alameda Parkway, Suite 201
Lakewood, CO 80226
Re: Ike # 1 Mine
File No. 77-451
Dear Mr. McCluskey:
Our Division has received your request for a succession of operators and
transfer of permit for the above captioned operation from Anschutz Mining
Corp. to Cotter Corporation. The request form is in order. However, before
the Board can consider this request, we require two more items. First, a
complete warranty package must be received. I have enclosed a financial
warranty-corporate surety form and a performance warranty form for your use in
this regard. The existing financial warranty from Anschutz seems to be in the
amount of $10,000.00. However, the maximum amount of financial warranty for
such a limited impact mining operation is $5,000.00. This is the amount of
financial warranty that should be submitted.
Our Division is now also requesting that any new operator fill out a new 110
application form (form only--no exhibits) to provide us with needed
administrative data for our file. I have also enclosed such a 110 form.
As soon as we have received and approved these items, this matter will be
scheduled for the next regularly-scheduled meeting of the Mined Land
Reclamation Board. With all of the proper forms in hand, approval of such a
request is essentially automatic. The next Board meeting is scheduled for
January 23-24, 1985.
Please call me if you have any questions.
Sincerely, qyJ-O
Mark S.
