Kroll <br />1342 CR 238 <br />Durango, CO 81301 <br />f ~~ ~~~ <br />Re: Notice of Application for Phase III Finai $ond Release for the La Plata No. 1 Mine <br />CDMG file (C-87-072) <br />Dear Mr. Kroll: <br />Rocky Mountain Bank and Trust is applying for Phase III final bond release for <br />reclamation conducted at the reclaimed La Plata No. I Mine, located approximately five <br />miles southwest of the town of Hesperus, Colorado (in sections 28, and 29, T35N, Rl 1W, <br />La Plata County, Colorado). As required by Colorado law, whenever bond release is <br />requested, all interested or affected parties with a valid legal interest must be notified, and <br />afforded the opportunity to comment or request an informal conference on the bond <br />release in accordance with Rule 3.03.3 of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. This letter will serve to notify you that Rocky <br />Mountain Bank and Trust is requesting bond release in the amourn of $10,276.00 for <br />successful reclamation at the La Plata No. 1 Mine. Approval of this bond release would <br />remove any remaining obligations and liability for reclamation of coal mining related <br />disturbances under the above permit. The complete bond release application submitted to <br />the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology will be on file with the Division'in <br />Denver at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, and the La Plata County Clerk's Office, 1060 <br />Second Ave., Durango, CO 81301 during the review period.
