HYDROKINETICS. INC
3032376B69I
•
i297s w. aa~ ri.
cotaaa (~R~e~ co-owdo, 80401
(303) 237-8865
MEMORANDUM
TO: Jim Finley
FRAM: Scott Mefford
DATE: Feb. 24, 1999
SUBJECT: Santa Fe Monitoring, Battle Mountain Project
Jim;
I have looked back over the maps you faxed me on 2-12-99
and the one you sent on 2-24-99. I have tried to mesh data from
each of these maps together, and I believe I understand generally
where each well in the Santa Fe lies. As there is not a scale on
either of these maps, I am not sure of the precise distances
involved and ask that you generally confirm the assumptions that I
have made as to well spacing.
Wall SF-3 is the furthest west of the new Santa Fe wells.
well SF-2 apparently lies about 400 feet south east of SF-3 along
the south edge of the pit. I'm not sure of the designation of the
Santa Fe well 8MG constructed near PW-1, but from the 2-12--99 map
it appears to lie at or very near M-19. For simplicity sake, I'll
call this well SF-4. Well SF-4 apparently lies about 400 feet
south east of well SF-2. It is our understanding that well SF-4
will be maintained Por purposes of monitoring and that data from
this well will be available. If we continue in a generally south-
easterly direction along the pit wall from well SF-4 another 500
feet, we come to wall PW-2. We recommend placing the new Santa Fe
well (we'll call it SF-5) somewhere within a 100 foot radius of
well PW-2 as access allows. This will give BMG four Santa Fe wells
at 400-500 foot spacings along the south edge of the pit and should
provide pretty good monitoring data an the Santa Fe in this area.
Let me know wrist your thoughts are on this, if my
assumptions as to well spacings and locations are incor e'ct.
Thanks ~^
(#~4
P.02
OAOVMO WA D.9f NYDROLOOY 6YBIVLFMtl(IEDLOOY O[ORR'S/CS WA 7FF A'10M7 E1YY/ppNIIENTAt GONSULTAMS
