-2- <br />Gravel Breaks 1/64 <br />Forbs can produce up to 5 percent of the forage on this site. <br />Commonly occuring forbs are: cushion buckwheat, largeflowered <br />Indian paintbrush, doted gayfeather, hairy goldaster, hoods <br />phlox, purple prairieclover, wormwood, Colorado greenthread and <br />threadleaf groundsel. <br />Shrubs make up to 10 percent of the total production on this <br />site. Bigelow sagebrush, broom snakeweed, green plume <br />rabbi[brush, fringed sagebrush, plains pricklypear, skunkbush <br />sumac, small soapweed, and waikingstick cholla are common shrubs <br />on this site. Shadscale and fourwing saltbush may occur on <br />slopes below the gravel cap where the gravel lies over shale. <br />b.
