Long <br />RCR #27, Box 27950 <br />Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br />Deaz Mr. Long: <br />As required in Section 3.02.2(1) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board for Coal Mining, The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co. (P&M), hereby serves notice <br />of its intention to apply for partial release of a Letter of Credit (performance bond) held on <br />reclaimed acreage at the Edna Mine. <br />P&M seeks release of $1,307,927.00 from the performance bond for an area with reclamation <br />liability covered under Permit C-80-001. Permit C-80-001 was originally issued November 16, <br />1981. Reclamation work in the area for which bond release is requested includes backfilling and <br />grading of the final pit and spoil ridges, and drainage re-establishment. Reclamation activities <br />took place from 1992 through 1996. <br />The Edna Mine is located northwest of Oak Creek in Routt County, Colorado. The azea affected <br />by this request is located west of the 6i° P.M. and is contained in Section 7, T4N, R85W; Section <br />31, TSN, R85W; and Section 36, TSN, R86W. The area encompasses approximately 342.5 <br />acres. <br />Any written comments, objections and/or requests for a public hearing or informal conference <br />regazding P&M's request should be submitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Dem~er, Colorado, 80203. <br />Sincerely <br />~ ~~~~ <br />Brian D.
