i <br />rf <br />don't be mislead into thinking that we have the option to remain where we are. If we don't <br />choose to take advantage of this coal boom we will be moving backwards and any other <br />development that is to move in will first need to make up for that loss before any growth takes <br />place. <br />Just in case there is any doubt in your mind, let me tell you that I am a coal miner. I <br />moved my family to Delta, bought a house, and very much enjoy living here. Without the growth <br />of the coal mines I will probably need to try to sell my house and move as there is no other <br />employment available that I can raise my family on. <br />It would be a shame if the county were to miss this opportunity because they were trying <br />to avoid change. I ask that.when you are making your decisions concerning the levels of <br />production in our county that you seek options that do not cause the mines to be less competitive <br />than those in other communities that would welcome the growth opportunities. Please also <br />consider that many of the transportation issues need to be answered due to increased auto and <br />truck traffic even if the level of trains were to remain the same. <br />
