Box 161
Silt, CO 81652
RE: Eastside Mine (C-84-063), Identification of Interests, Rule 2.03.4
Dear Ms. Limbach:
The Division has received replacement pages 8 and 9 of the Eastside permit
application covering Identification of Interests. As major shareholders of
Eastside Energy Corporation Abraxas Energy and Superior Western Corporation
must also be included in this information. If Western Associated Energy
Corporation is still involved in the ownership of Eastside Coal Company,
information on that company is also necessary.
The proper submittal of Identification of Interests is a necessary part of
the permit application, and is the only issue which is delaying renewal of
the Eastside Coal Company mining permit. Once the current permit expires in
January, Eastside may continue mining under Rule 2.08.5(3)(f), however the
Division can not process any revisions until the renewed permit is issued
(following the 30-day public comment period).
Sincerely,
William B.
