The mine is in the <br />process of final reclamation- Facili[ies have been removed and the property re[umed w Slnal grade. On November 23, 2002, two pi[s were excavated in the pro%lmity of the diesel dispensing <br />station and just dow•tt gradient of the diesel storage tanks for a prelimina[y progress evaluation. These pits <br />were excavated to a depth of four fee[ with one bulk sample colhx:ted from each pit. 'Iltcsc samples were <br />collected to evaluate the potential severity of the problem while a review of applicable rcgularioos could be <br />urmplerod end a more complete evaluation of the arsa planned. They rcfetred PPM w [ha: Oil <br />Ivspeciion Section (OIS) of the Colorado Deparment of Labor and Employment. OfS regulaus <br />commercial diesel storage tanks and currently bn.> the most definitive regulations regarding rcmediation of <br />dics.vl spills and eontatninated soils.
