This meeting will be at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, June 28, at
the Soil Conservation Service office (address above). You may enter
the conference room through the side (east) door of the building.
We would welcome your attendance at this meeting, providing an
opportunity to explain your current policy and criteria regarding
SCD/SCS involvement in review of mine reclamation plans. It has
been our understanding for some time that the MLRD desired SCD/SCS
involvement in review of these plans along with county government
review groups, as stated in section 34-32-116 (J> of the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Act.
Mr. Lair indicated to us that the current mining plan revision
for the new amendment to the Snyder Quarry permit had not been
submitted for SCD review at the time of the public meeting in
Colorado Springs. In conversation with Dan Hernandez that day, Mr.
Lair had understood that SCD/SCS review of this plan with written
comments was welcome. As with all other districts in the state, we
would like to continue our contribution to technical mine
reclamation site reviews, as requested,
