The majority of these activities will take place in the area indicated on
the attached map.
It was our understanding, based on discussions with Mr. Oehler, that this activity would not be
considered a part of our mining operation. We apologize for the misunderstanding and would
like to request a technical revision to the above referenced permit to include composting. As
outlined in our previous letter, this activity would consist of stockpiling non-toxic topsoil,
straw/manure, and compost organic materials. It is our intent that no excavating will take place
as part of these operations. This area will be mined , as outlined in the existing permit, and no
changes will occur in the final reclamation.
The financial warranty was recently evaluated and increased to $156,985. Please find enclosed
completed financial certification forms for this increase. Since the final reclamation will not
change, this should not need to be re-evaluated.
Should you have any additional questions on this matter, please contact me at (303) 657-4331.
Sincerely,
Julie Goettemoeller
Land Manager
Attachments
cc: Jim Agner, B&G-Colorado Springs
(c:1wp511nJ ii+l Pouni2)
