Box 670 <br />Hayden, CO 81639-0670 <br />Seneca II-W and Yoast Mines (See General Location Map in Attachment A, Figures) <br />MSHA I.D. NO. OS-00304 <br />GEOLOGIC INFORMATION: <br />A. Coal bed to be mined: Lennex Seam, Wadge Seam, Sage Creek and Wolf Creek <br />B. Coal bed thickness: Lennex Seam 4' - 8' <br />Wadge Seam 8' - 16' <br />Sage Creek Seam 4' - 7' <br />Wolf Creek Seam 10'- 20' <br />C. Height of highwall: The highwall height at Seneca II-W will vary from 80 to 150 feet and a <br />maximum overburden depth encompassing the highwall miner recovery area will be 450 feet. <br />The highwall height at Yoast will vary from 20 to 150 feet and a maximum overburden depth <br />encompassing the highwall miner recovery azea will be 450 feet. <br />D. Proposed angle of highwall: Approximately 80° <br />E. Proposed angle of spoil bank: The angle of repose of the spoil, approximately 35°. <br />F. General characteristics of the strata: The coal seam dips to the west at 8° to 16° at Seneca II- <br />W and 8° to l2° at Yoast. The overburden material consists mainly of thin to thick sandstones <br />and are interbedded with shales, siltstones, thin and thick coal seams. See Figure 3.6 in <br />Attachment C, Figures, which summarizes the stratigraphic setting of the Williams Fork Coal <br />Measures. <br />EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR HIGHWALL MINER MINING OPERATION: <br />1.
