Asbestos Containing Materials Survey 4629 Nonh Overland Trail La Porte, Colorado Elcecuthle Summary ARCADIS G&M, Inc. (ARCADIS) has completed an asbestos containing material (ACM) survey at the Holcim, Inc. Plant located at 4629 North Overland Trail, I.a Porte, Colorado. ARCADIS retained Landmark Environmental, Inc. (Landmark) to complete the sampling and reporting portions of the scope of work. The purpose of the ACM survey was to identify the presence, location, quantity, friability, and condition of ACMs located within the site structures. A total of 217 bulk samples were collected fs;~m all of the Plant structures. Samples were collected from a total of 147 different types of suspected ACMs. Of the 147 suspect ACMs that were sampled or assumed to contain asbestos, asite-wide total of 46 materials were confirmed to be ACM by laboratory analysis and 23 suspect ACMs were assumed to contain asbestos. The following bullets summarize the types and locations of ACMs at the site. • Finish (skim coat) textures on cinderblock and concrete in the Cooling Pond Building and the Bulk Loading Building. • Drywall texture, wall plaster, and pipe insulation throughout the Plant Office. • Remnant pipe insulation, debris, and associated contaminated soils in the Finish Mill. • Refractory putty, remnant pipe insulation, pipe insulation debris, and associated contaminated soils in the Boiler House. • Vibration dampeners on the bag houses associated with the Raw Materials Silo. • Pipe and tank insulation in the Quany Shop. • ACM transite panels and pipes, pipe insulation, ceiling texture, and sheet flooring materials in the Laboratory "A"Building • Sheet flooring in the Supervisors Office and pipe insulation in the Machine Shop. • Refractory linings in the abandoned boiler stored near the Coal Unloading Area. }ua wanom mdadoUpgtlnbu~M ~+v.~oa«,uoomnsea~ossuvalau~•.ver~l,a,mzaa
