Warehouse Expansion Technical Adequacy Responses
Dear Mr. Walker:
In response to your 07/11/07 Technical Adequacy letter outlining minor text and map edits necessary
to meet Technical Adequacy requirements for the above-referenced Minor Revision; the following
respond to your comments:
Item 1) -Please correct the lack of continuity from the revised page 2.05-18 of 06/27/07 (MR07-217)
and the unchanged page 2.05-17.3 of 11/27/06 (PR06-07). A portion of the bathhouse description was
omitted.
Resaonse: The referenced text pages have been reviewed and revised to provide for text continuity.
Copies of the revised pages accompany these responses.
Item 2) -Map 24, Sheet 1 of 3, 07/03/07 (MR 217) shows the proposed thickener underflow lines of
TR-60. TR-60 has not been permitted. Please remove un permitted features. Or, request a stay of a
decision on this minor revision until this drawing is applicable (note that the desirable label on the
thickener underflow lines was removed).
Response: Map 24, Sheet 1 of 3 has been revised to eliminate the thickener underflow components,
for which approvals are pending. Copies of the revised map have already been submitted under
separate cover.
Item 3) -Map 24, Sheet 1 of 3, 07/03/07 (MR 217) lacks the certification signature of a registered
engineer. Please submit a certified copy of the map.
Resaonse: The revised copies of Map 24, Sheet 1 of 3, referenced in the response to Item 2 and
submitted under separate cover, include the required certification.
Item 4) -The application included a reclamation cost estimate of $14,450. The Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) estimate for the reclamation work is $22,937. A copy of the
Division estimate is attached (Pages A-133.1 and A-133.2). The major discrepancy is in the cost of
floor demolition. Please let us know if you wish to accept the Division estimate in the application.
