Long <br /> DlvlSlOn Dirett« <br />Re: Deserado Miue (Permit No. C-1981-018) <br />Technical Revision Application No. 55 (TR-55) <br />Non Coal Waste & Equipment Storage <br />Dear Ms. Nachtrieb: <br />The Division of Minerals and Neology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on June 4, 2001, an application to revise coal mining operations at the <br />Deserado Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, <br />Inc. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />This revision provides additional map and narrative documrntation regarding storage of noncoal waste (including waste <br />ail and other fluids), and miscellaneous equipment and materials. The revision was submitted to abate NOV CV-2001- <br />010. <br />The Underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles Northeast of Rangely, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12, T2N, R101 W, 601 PM, all in Rio Blanco County; Portions of Sections 21, <br />23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, and 36, T3N, R101W, 6th PM; All of Sections 22, 29, 32, and 33, T3N, R101W, 6th <br />PM, all in Rio Blanco County. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land aze shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Rangely NE and Cactus <br />Reservoir. <br />The applicant is required [o publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete, At the <br />time of publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this appliption at the Rio <br />Blanco County Courthouse, P.O. Box I, Meeker, CO 81641, and at the Division office.
