Box 591 <br />Somerset CO 81434 <br />Re: West Elk MR-277 and MR-278 Adequacy <br />Deaz Mr. Bazbe: <br />The Division has reviewed Mountain Coal Company's submittals of MR-277 and MR-278 for <br />additional boreholes to vent methane has from [he mine. <br />The Division has comments requestingl additional information is submitted that will enable us to <br />provide a reclamation cost estimate and formulate along-term schedule to follow as this drilling <br />program procedes. <br />The Division requests that MCC submit a current map showing roads, drillholes and drill pads <br />for the proposed activities. Designation should be provided for the roads to indicate the level of <br />maintenance that was required to use these roads and the subsequent reclamation that will be <br />performed, according to MCC's interaction with the US Forest Service. Information should be <br />provided for the drillholes, including proposed depth, diameter of the hole, type of drilling and <br />any other information pertinent to reclamation. A schedule should be provided that shows the <br />Division when MCC plans to access these drill pads.
