The problems should be corrected by the <br />dates given, or they will become possible violations. The possible violations should be <br />corrected by the dates given to reduce their severity when considered by the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. The inspector noted on the previous page should be notified of all <br />corrective actions taken. <br />PROBLEMS/POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS <br />AND <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />DATE <br />1. PROBLEM: <br />In the mine plan, the operator states that slopes will be mined PB or PV:PB <br />to 2h:ly. It was noted during the inspection that pit slopes TOPIC (S):MP <br />are near vertical. December 17, <br />2004 <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: <br />The operator will need to revise the mining and reclamation plan <br />to address the slopes that are mined steeper than 2h:1v. A <br />revision to the permit must be submitted on or before December <br />17, 2004. <br />2• PROBLEM: PB or PV:PB <br />A number of non-portable tanks were observed that do not have a TOPIC (S):MP <br />containment berm in place to contain material in the event of December 17, <br />leaks or spills. In addition, evidence of minor fuel/oil spills 2004 <br />were noted. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: <br />The operator will need to construct a containment berm around <br />the non-portable fuel tanks and clean up fuel/oil spills in <br />accordance with the approved plan. Proof of compliance in the <br />form of photographs must be submitted to the Division on or <br />before December 17, 2004. <br />
