J
NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION
The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed decision to
approve a technical revision to the mining and reclamation plans for the
Colowyo Coal Mine, Permit No. C-81-019, operated by Colowyo Coal Company,
under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of
1979. The proposed technical revision (TR-19) was submitted by Colowyo Coal
Company on April 29, 1992 for the Colowyo Coal Mine. The affected area is
located in portions of Section 14, Township 3 North, Range 93 West of the
6th P.M. in Moffat County.
This technical revision would add portions of lots 3 and 10 (lying west of
State Highway 13) to the permit area where Colowyo would build a sediment pond
and associated access road.
Copies of the proposed technical revision are available for review at the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room
215, Denver, Colorado 80203. Any person who has an interest which is or may
be adversely affected may request a formal hearing regarding this proposed
decision. Requests for a formal hearing must be made in writing within ten
(10) days of this publication and shall state with reasonable specificity the
reasons for the request and objections to the proposed decision.
