Long <br />Dinsion Director <br />Craig, CO 81625 <br />Re: Foidel Creek Mine (Permit No. C-82-056) <br />Permit Renewal Application No. 3 <br />Deaz Mr. Schneider: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, <br />Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on December 4, 1997, an application to renew an existing permit <br />to conduct coal mining operations at the Foidel Creek Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />In portions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4W, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35 <br />and 36 in TSn, R87W; and all of TSN, R86W with the exception of Sections 34, 35, and 36. <br />The above-mentioned [[acts of land ate shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Rattlesnake Butte, Milner, <br />and Cow Creek. <br />Renew existing permit per 5 year permit term. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Routt County Courthouse, Box 773598, <br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office.
