SECTION 02210.0 UNDERGROUND WORKING REMEDIATION <br />I • <br />PART 1: GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY: <br />This SPECIFICATION describes the activities associated with the remediation of the underground <br />workings located within the limits of the valley ]each facility. <br />1.02 RELATED SECTIONS: <br />Refer to the following Sections for related work: <br />Section 02200.0 -Earthworks <br />Section 03300.0 -Cast In Place Concrete <br />Section 03310.0 -Cemented Rockfill <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br />A. All work shall be monitored and tested in compliance with the requirements of the <br />SPECIFICATIONS. <br />B. All CQA soils testing (both field and laboratory testing) will be the responsibility of CQA <br />Monitor, as identifted in the Earthworks CQA plan. CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for <br />cooperating with CQA Monitor during all testing activities. CONTRACTOR shall provide <br />equipment and labor to assist CQA Monitor in sampling, if requested, and shall also provide <br />access to all areas requiring testing activities. Quality Control testing shall be the responsibility <br />of the CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br />C. All excavation, backfill and grading operations shall be carried out under the observation of <br />MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />D. Any work found unsatisfactory or any work disturbed by subsequent operations before <br />acceptance is granted shall be corrected by CONTRACTOR, at its sole cos[. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. CONTRACTOR shall provide method of Coarse Shaft Backfill and Select Structural Fill <br />placement. <br />B. CONTRACTOR shall provide method of compacting Native material, Coarse Shaft Backfill <br />and Select Savcmral Fill, to meet the compaction requirements identified in Sections 3.02 and <br />3.03. <br />C. CONTRACTOR shall provide blasting design for approval by MANAGER. <br />r1 <br />LJ <br />PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS: <br />A.
