EPA and ASTM gross alpha/beta procedures limit the
amount of TDS allowable on a planchet to approximately O.lg. The result of elevated
TDS in a sample is a reduction in the amount of volume that can be used for the analysis
' thus increasing the calculated detection limit. In addition to using the maximum volume
allowable by the method, extended count times were utilized in order to obtain the lowest
possible detection limits for these samples.
If you have any questions regarding the radiochemical analysis of these samples, please
' call me at (800)666-0306.
' t
Debra Phillabaum
' QA/QC Coordinator
1

Core Leborelorlee, Imo.
' 420 Wesl Firsl Slreel.
