~~
1
7200 Series
~i '6 ,~y
u
/! ~~
frosion prevention for embankments and
a~ slope protection.
Composite Series
;,
s
,.

Called "Flatback," these Enkamat
products have atwo-dimensional nylon
layer on the bottom of the matting to
form a more closed "flat" structure on
the underside. They are commonly
used in regions with highly erosive silts
or sandy soils and act as a form to hold
a variety of fill materials. Typical appli-
cations include streams, rivers, levees
and on reservoir banks.
7900 Series
s
.,
e ~" /:
'~.
These products have a lightweight,
nonwoven geotextile heat-bonded to
the bottom of the matrix. They are used
to provide more intimate contact with
highly erosive soils in order to improve
soil retention. Also used in conditions
of high pore water pressures to retain
soil particles while allowing water to
pass through the product.
"S" Series
Enkamat "S" incorporates ahigh-
strength geogrid with Enkamat. The
geogrid reinforcement takes over when
extreme conditions exist and where
surface root reinforcement is not the
only issue to be resolved. The combina-
tion of the open-structured Enkamat
with the high tensile strength of the
grid (13701bs/ft to 75401bs/ft) makes
Enkamat "S" very suitable for vegetat-
ingsteep weathered rock slopes
and reinforcing soil covers on lining
systems.
Enkamat Composites P/T, 30* and
NPK* are the newest additions to the
Enkamat product line. Enkamat
Composite P/T combines proven
Enkamat turf reinforcement and
biodegradable components. Enkamat
Composite 30 adds a lightweight geo-
textile tothis combination to provide
higher permissible shear stresses while
allowing minimal soil loss in an unveg-
etatedand vegetated state. Enkamat
Composite NPK is the only product on
the market capable of adding any sig-
nificantorganic supplement to the soil
during biodegradation of the temporary
blanket. These products were developed
for installation environments primarily
involving sheet and channel flow.
*paten[ pending
Superior Features of
Enkamat
• High Shear Resistance
• No Buoyancy Factor
(specific gravity > 1)
High Compression Resistance
• Available in Multiple Widths
• Easy to Install
ee/ore
,,,«,
3
Special applications
