the rock fill will be in accordance with Army Corps of Engineers' speci-
fications, since a permit from the Corps is necessary for placement of
the material. The size gradation will be submitted to the Division after
it is determined in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers.
A flow path for the emergency spillway water from sediment pond No. 8
is shown on Exhibit 6B. The flow path is through ditches and culverts
maintained by the Colorado Department of Highways.
The revised design calculations for the upper and lower flumes for the
Roadside Mine North diversion ditch are included in Appendix F of this
submittal. The flumes are designed to have at least 0.3 feet of freeboard.
During the reclamation phase of the North Decline area the east and west
diversion ditches will continue to be used to divert unaffected runoff
around the reclaimed area. The intermittant stream channel will be reestablished
as a wide rip rapped channel. Pond 7 will be enlarged to accomodate more
of the reclaimed area drainage east of the channel. Shallow depressions
will be used for areas east and west of the channel which can not be drained
to Pond 7. Exhibit 12C shows the reclamation phase drainage and Appendices
X, WW and AAA contains the drainage design calculations.
Ute Water Conservacy District is proposing to install a water supply pipe
line from their plant located in section 2,T.115.R98W. to Island Acres
State Park which is located in section 26, T.lOS.R.98W. Of the routes
investigated their preference is to install the line in a northwesterly
direction to the Interstate 70 and follow the highway from there.
