Much of the use associated vrith the above aetit-itia
have retunt flaws via WEM's ',1VV~P. Using the data f4om 1994 gad the
assumption that Wi2M will inczrase its work force by approximately 43
employees by 1996, potable water usage was calculated to be 13.2 sere-feet.
Also, WEM is a:dmating other ~+;~^}n~~~~• water uaa m be an addidoeal 10.0
sae-feat. Therefore. ehe total miscellaneous watx use is approximately X3.2
sore-feet. }
Return Floss

Return flows to the North Fork are attributed to discharges of treated effluent from
WEM's WWTP and water circuhted, then discharged from the mina Using the 1996
don supplied in table 7S, ~jeeted was ter Plant Discharees of WEM's Mining and
Reclamation Plan, 15.3 acre-feet will be tsturned to the North Fork every year from the
WWTP. Utilipng the 1994 Annual Hydrology Report figure (a9 well as an average of
the past three years). 61.7 acre fat of water was pumped from the mine and rttumed
to the North Fork. Approzfmarely 8.7 sae-feet of that amount is contribured, through
mine inflows, as described below. The remainder, 33 acro-teet, is water recovered In
dte mine after circulating through the mining sxdons. This water is pumped out of the
mine, stated, if necessary and discharged.
Coatxibudom
As dixussed in the 1994 Annual Hydrology Report, 8.7 acre-feet of water was measured
~ mine water inflow. The naarrai mine water inflow is ~ ptoportionl to the
production rare, bur is affected by the areal extent mined. ,Therefore, the 1994;dara will
be used for the entire term of permit. VN>:M believes than this water is a valid
contribution to the upper Colorado River basin, because the water would have retrained
isolated in perched, confined aquifers iP mining had not occurred.
Net Deptedan
Depletion for the North Fork 162.4 aere•faedyear
Return flow to the North Fork 77.3 acre feerlyear
Cantrfbudons to the North Fork 8.7 acre fat/yesr
NET DEPLETION ?6.4 acre frsdyear
Exhibit 67-Z aw..r r.. row rasa R.wd s.~. l~s ntn
