Coors Energy Company, P.O. Box 467,

has filed a Phase II bond release applica0on
witA the Colorado Division of Minerals and
Geology for Me Keenesburg Mine (CDMG
permit # C-81 -028).~The bond release appli-
cation package is available for inspection at
the Colorado Division of Minerels and
Geology. 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215,
Denver Colorado 80203 and the Town Hall in
Keenesburg, Colorado dudng the review ped-
od. The mining and .reclamation permit was
approved November 3, 199.1. The permitted
area is wttin. Sections- 25 and 36, T3N,
R64W, 6th Prime Meridian, Weld County;
Colorado. The surface owner of the properly
for which bond release~is requested is Ccors
Energy Company. The U.S.GS. 7.5 minute
quadrangles titled "bug Ranch' and "Tampa"
ceritain the pertnk area of the mine. The per-
mit area is located 7 miles north. of
Keenesburg, CO and is accessed by Weld
County Road 59. Phase II bond release is
sought for successful establishment of vege-
tafion that supports the approved postmining
land use and which meets the approved suo
cess standard for cover on approximately 53.9
acres within the permitted mine~sife. The
areas eligible for Phase II bond release were
revegetated between 1997 and 20D3. Coors
Energy Company is requesting a release of
$191,433.10 of the total $2,814,909.00 surety
reclamation bond remaining for the site.
Anyone wishing to submit written comments,
~objedions, or request a public hearing or
informal conference must submit such'request
or comments to the Colorado Division of
Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street,

Objections or a-requestfidr an informal confer-
