` VEGETATIVE DATA <br /> EXHIBIT J <br /> Land use on the site for the Tozer Pit has historically been <br /> livestock grazing. Vegetative data is based on the <br /> Ecological site description for the Southwest Mt. Pinyon- <br /> Juniper (Draft) . If a copy of this range site is desired, it <br /> may be obtained from any Natural Resources Conservation <br /> Service office. <br /> Vegetation consists of an overstory of scattered Juniper and <br /> Pinyon Pine trees and Sagebrush. Grasses and forbs make up <br /> the majority of the understory . Bottlebrush Squirre.ltail, <br /> Muttongrass, 6 Weeks Fescue, Indian Ricegrass are the <br /> dominant grasses for this site. Shrubs such as Mountain <br /> Mahogony, Broom Snakeweed, Mormon Tea, Yucca (and other <br /> cactus spp. ) and Antelope Bittlrbrush are scattered and <br /> Interspersed with the Mountain Big Sagebrush. Forbs <br /> identified included 3 species of Astragulus (2 Locoweeds , 1 <br /> Vetch) , Indian Paintbrush, 2 species of Phlox, 4 O'Clock, <br /> Wild Parsley, Buckwheat, and flymenoxy' s sp. Threatened and <br /> Endangered plants were not identified in the site <br /> description at the time of the field inventory. <br /> r <br />
