' o ProjecC engineer responsible for preliminary design of
water control measures for the Federal American Partners
uranium mill in the "Cas Hills" of Wyoming. The project
consisted of determining the probable maximum flood (PMF)
for several proposed tailings reclamation schemes and de-
sign of 1 mile of stream channelization including eight
5~ foot drop structures, 750 feet long each, for grade
stabilization and energy control. The project included
both subcritical and super critical gradually varied flow
profile computations.
o Project engineer responsible for design of flood channels,
drop structures, irrigation diversion, and cross drainage
structures for a roadway/flood control project in Thornton,
Colorado.
o Project engineer and manager on seven flood plain infor-
mation studies in Colorado, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
Studies included hydrographic/topographic surveying,
gradually varied flow profile computation, flood history
documentation, report preparation and report publishing.
o Project engineer and manager of fifteen flood insurance
studies in Vermont. Different aspects of these studies
included state wide regional hydrologic study, wave
runup in Lake Champlain, spatially varied flow analysis,
and super critical flow analysis. Also served as staff
engineer on two such studies in Wisconsin.
o Project engineer responsible for the preliminary design of
a recreational "whitewater chute" in Wausau, Wisconsin.
This 450 meter long channel with a 4.9 meter fall is a by-
pass, channel to a hydroelectric facility on the Wisconsin
River. The evaluation included a hydrologic analysis of
the timing and frequency of flow in the channel, hydraulic
evaluation of existing channel features and those proposed
to be constructed to create hydraulic conditions suitable
for recreational use, survey of need, economic impact,
financing, cost estimate, structural inspection of existing
features and environmental assessment.
o Project engineer responsible for
drainage plans, irrigation ditch
.and designs covering storm water
detention, retention, channeliza
covering provisions for handling
discharges.
numerous site specific
covering/relocation,
and sediment handling by
:ion, storm sewers and
major waterway flood
o Project engineer for design of intercepting ditch and
storm sewer to collect water from abandoned irrigation
ditch in Boulder, Colorado.
o Project engineer for the design of a side channel spillway
overflow structure at the terminus of an irrigation canal
in Boulder, Colorado.
o Project engineer for the design of stream channel improve-
ments and retaining will design in Boulder, Colorado.
