NEW CASTLE ENERGY CORPORATION (D1CEC), with its offices at 7476
East Arkansas Avenue, Suite 104, Denver, Colorado 80231,
telephone [phone], has filed a Permit Revision to its Min-
ing Permit C-84-065 with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Division. The Permit Revision relates to the addition of a non-
contiguous permit area near Rifle, Colorado. This permit area is
the site of the coal loading facility to be operated by NCEC or
its contractor.
The subject property is located in Garfield County, approximately
3 miles west of Rifle, and 20 miles west of New Castle. The
property is located on the Rifle Quadrangle. The site is
accessed by the West .Rif le Exit from I-70, and then I.5 miles
west along the Frontage Road. The permit area is within 100 feet
of a public road.
The permit area to be added is described in more detail as
follows:
T6S, R94W, Section 23: A portion of land in the SW/4 of the
NF1/ 4
being 4.35 acres, more or less.
The currently approved permit area can be described as follows:
T6S, R91W, Section 1: Those lands in the NE/4 yet south of
County Road 335, lots 3 and 4, S/2,
S/2 NW/4.
T6S, R90W, Section 6: All lands south of County Road 335.
T6S, R90W, Section 5: All lands in S/2 SW/4.
T6S, R90W, Section 8: All lands in N/2, N/2 SE/4, and
NE/4 SW/4.
T6S, R90W, Section 9: All lands in S/2, NW/4 and SW/4.
T6S, R90W, Section 15: All lands in NW/4.
