Site is considered eligible for inclusion on the NRY.P
because of the rock art panel and because surface evidence indicates good potential for
intact artifactual and Feature remains in buried contexts immediately in front of panel.
Both provide good avenues for addressing various regional research topics as outlined in
appropriate AP3 documents.
field assessment of National Register eligibility: X eligible -not eligible
ATTACF~lF.NTS: (Indicate number of pages)
Maps 1 Profiles- Artifact Analysis- Photos Other 8
1 page: scaled drawing of rock art panel
3 pages: photographs
1 page: site map
2 pages: Rock Art Panel Supplement
1 page: Vandalism Record
4 pages: additional descriptive information about panel
Artifact and Field Documentation Storage Location: MAC, Eagle, CO
REPORT: (author, title, year) 1990--Ronald Rood, "Results of an Archaeological Survey for
Peabody Coal Company's Seneca II-W Mine Expansion Area, Routt County, Colorado", August,
199a
Researcher Anne McKibbin Date June, 1991
Organization Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Purpose of Investigation (cont): rock art figures (4) and sll vandalism and natural rock
features and natural erosion that has impacted prehistoric figures.
