The proposed <br />Amendment: 1) increases by a <br />net 95 total acres the affected <br />lands area around the adjacent <br />to its mill site primarily to ac- <br />commodate future expansion of <br />the tailings impoundment facili- <br />ty; 2) acknowledge the possibili- <br />ty that Henderson and the State <br />of Colorado may be awarded <br />the National Deep Underground <br />Science and Engineering Lebo- <br />calory (DUSEL), a future post- <br />mininc land use included within <br />cial" land use component at the <br />Henderson mine site.
