Box 68, Empire, Colorado 80438, has filed an application for an Amendment to its ap- proved Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Recla- mation Board under provisions of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act. The proposed Amendment: 1) increases by a net 95 total acres the affected lands area around the adjacent to its mill site primarily to ac- commodate future expansion of the tailings impoundment facili- ty; 2) acknowledge the possibili- ty that Henderson and the State of Colorado may be awarded the National Deep Underground Science and Engineering Lebo- calory (DUSEL), a future post- mininc land use included within cial" land use component at the Henderson mine site. The pro- posed changes will not change _ the present mining or milling op- erations at Henderson.
