r
EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN
Mining of the M 6 G Pit will be conducted as a wet mining
operation. Mining has occurred in the northern most area of the
site and continued to the south end. The eastern arm where the
plant site is currently located, will be mined last.
The house along the west side of the site will be removed. The
mining limit here will become a straight line north to south along
Old Brighton Road. All other setbacks as stated previously will be
observed.
The existing driveway to the owners residence on the southeast side
of the property, is being rerouted to the south around the mining
area. The existing driveway access point on Old Brighton Road will
continue to be utilized following the rerouting of the drive. The
area under the current driveway location will be mined out and no
dike between the two lakes will remain.
Mining will not occur in definable phases. When mining is
completed in each area, exposed portions of the shoreline will be
backfilled and graded. Excavation under water, using a drag line,
will occur at 3H:1V slopes. No slurry wall construction is planned
for this site.
The plant site will move slightly to the southeast from the
previous position and will remain there until mining of the
southern end of the site is completed. The plant site will then be
moved to the east side of the northern arm to allow the operator to
mine out the eastern arm. The mine access road has moved to the
north, adjacent to the scale/office area.
All other conditions and recommendations to the existing mining
plan will be followed.
D-1
