iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
999
Routten, Larry
From: Larry Kline [LKLINEC~wscgw.osmre.gov]
Sent: Thursday, September 30, 1999 1:52 PM
To: larry.routten~state.co.us
Subject: Sanborn Creek TR32 -Reply
This TR will not require a mining plan approval since
no federal coal is involved. Thanks for keeping us
informed. Larry Kline
»> "Routten, Larry" <larry.routten~state.co.us>
09/20/99 09:20am »>
We are calling a TR-32 application from Oxbow
Mining for the Sanborn Creek
Mine(C-81-022) complete today. Sanborn is a federal
mine.
The TR proposes development of a portal in the D
seam and facilities
associated with the portal, such as a substation,
intake/exhaust vents,
extension of the existing conveyor, and surface water
handling system. All
of the proposed work is on private land. The
proposed facilities are being
referred to as the Elk Creek Mine and will be used to
access coal in the
federal Elk Creek coal lease in the future.
I am sending you this notice to ask for a determination
from OSM whether
this action constitutes a federal mine plan change.
Please let me know if
OSM will handle this as a mine plan action.
thanks,
Larry Routten
