12. Revised ditch runs are being provided.
13. The utility portion of SEDCAD+ does not take values less than 0.1 cfs. As a consequence, when
Bows less than that value are input into the routine, the program "freezes up". Table 43 reflects the
actual Bows for the ditches. The ditch rvns for ditches Dl-lA, Dl-1B, and D2-8A all show a dis-
charge of 0.1 cfs, as that is the lowest value that the program will accept. MCC is agreeing to oversize
[heir ditches to accommodate the limitations of the program.
A revised run for the steep slope portion of ditch Dl-2 is being provided for your Exhibit. This
ditch will take water from both Watersheds 3 and 4 resulting in a 10-year 24-hour discharge of
1.39 cfs. Table 43 has been changed accordingly.
The ditch designs for Dl-3, D2-1, D2-3D, D2-D and D2-4A are enclosed for your review.
14. Please eliminate the designs for DCW-2 which have 1:1 side slopes.
15. No comment is required.
16. A nomograph for Culvert Cl-8 is being provided for your files.
17. Review of the watershed 4A run has led Greystone [o the conclusion that the baseflow associated with
11C had not been correctly transcribed. Watershed 11C generates 0.14 cfs. The 4A run has been re-
compiled with this information, yielding a Bow of 0.28 cfs. Please note that the 0.07 cfs of watershed
10 drains into C2-2A. However, the discharge Gom Watershed 4B is also equal to 0.07 cfs and does
contribute to the lowest reach of Dl-1. Therefore Dl-1 carries 0.35 cfs. The design and Tables 43
and 44 have been updated accordingly. The change in the nomograph for Cl-lA is insignificant, and
as a consequence, the nomograph is not being re-submitted.
Greystone agrees that Dl-3 needs to be modified, but finds that it should be modified to 6.55 cfs
based on a lower value for watershed SB of 0.58 cfs. The ditch run has been modified accordingly.
ADDITIONAL SUBMITTALS
During [he review associated with this Adequacy Response, two watershed runs were modified: 18D and 35C.
Watershed 18D has expanded with the move of D2R-2 and the value in Table 43 for 35C was incorrectly
transcribed. The watershed 18D run was modified and is attached, as are the resultant changes in D2R-2 and
C2R-2. The increase of 0.05 cfs in watershed 35C modified values in Table 44 for D2-1, D2-4, D2-6, D2-6A,
D2-bD, D2-7A, C2-2, C2-3, C2-SA, C2-11, C2-15, and C2R-2. Revised ditch runs are provided. The only
culvert nomograph which required a change was C2-15.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely, ~/
Catherine W. Begej
Project Manager
Greystone
ce. Ms. Kathleen Welt
Enclosures
