Dept, of Natural Resources
Re: O.C. Coal Mine No. 2
Gunnison County, Colorado
Permit No. C 002 80
Dear Mr. Squire:
Enclosed is a copy of the Court's order, ruling that neither
the Weavers nor Receiver Hobbs violated the Court's orders, and
determining therefore that they should not be held in contempt.
Significantly, the order also requires Sylvia McCormick to
sign the permit transfer papers, in order to accomplish the
process of having the Receiver permitted as operator.
Accordingly, I would request that MLRD request of Sylvia
McCormick that she sign the transfer documents at the earliest
opportunity.
Also, I have sent a letter to our engineers, Fox Consultants,
Inc., requesting that they do whatever is necessary to accomplish
certification to MLRD, confirming 100 per cent completion of
the sediment pond.
Thank you.
Sincere ,
C.
