Arkins Park Stone •
5975 N. County Road 27
Loveland, Colorado 80537
(303) 663-1920
RED LYONS PERMIT ' 93
EXHIBIT C
1 . Mining began by us in these quarries in 1970 , it was first
permitted in 1981 and had been previously mined as early as the
1900 ' s . Since we have been mining it for almost 20 years , I feel
we can assume that it will be mined for another 20 years or more .
2 . All salvageable soil will be saveaand stockpiled for future
use . A separate stockpile is shown on Exhibit E map.
3 . The thickness of overburden rock is very small . Although there
is always a percentage o waste accumulated while quarrying the
rock is normally usable very near the surface . Most of this
deposit had the overburden removed many years ago . A small pile of
soil is already available in the center of quarry for future
reclamation . Much of the waste stone is incorporated into the work
deck and sold as rip-rap for lake dikes and ditches as we are able .
4 . The thickness of the deposit will probabl- be 20-30 feet .
5 . The Quarry is at present , mostly opened for the mining area .
The access roads are and have been in existence for many years .
ere a shops e .
processing area is in the center of the quarry areas , SEE MAP-
EXHIBIT E .
6 . Most of the permitted areas were and are excavated quarries .a,14
from many years back and cover most of the permitted area . Exhibit
E shows locations of these areas .
7 . The existing access road5are approximately 20-25 feet wide and
need no improvement other than occasional grading or fill in of
hales . They are included in the permitted area .
8 . There is no water used in conjunction with these operations .
L//9 . No ground water or surface water will be encountered .
10 . Not applicable .
11 . Not applicable .
12 . Not applicable .
