The outslopes of the ernbanlanent will be stabilized <br />with a vegetative cover by sowing the previously approved seed <br />mixture, excluding sltn~b species, over the embankment. <br />Feclamation Pl.aii <br />The loadout area will be returned to a condition that will be support- <br />ive of other iu~dustrial uses. The top three inches of rtoterial will be <br />removed fran the site and transported to the mine for burial in the <br />final cut. The sedirent ponds and other surface structures will be <br />rnnved from tr1e site and the area left in a condition suitable for <br />re-entry by other industrial uses. <br />Iut alternate land use for the site would be returning it to a <br />green belt area. 'I11is would tie accompl.ishecl by obtaining an analysis <br />of the overburden material present at the site to see if it will support <br />vegetative. Upon completion of the analysis, the appropriate nutrients <br />and amendments will be incorporated into the material as per the <br />recormendations derived from the analysis. The area will be seeded <br />with a mixture of native and introduced grass species. Also, groupings <br />of cottonwoods will be planted along t]1e bank of the irrigation ditch. <br />Approximately four groupings of two trees per grouping will be planted. <br />The seed mixture will be as follows: <br />Buffalo Grass 4 lbs/ac <br />Side-(kits Grama 4 lbs/ac <br />Kentucky Bluegrass 3 lbs/ac <br />Fairway wheatgrass 2 lbs/ac <br />4~stern Wheatgrass 3 lbs/ac <br />The above mixture will be drilled and a straw mulch of two tnn <br />per acre will be blown on and crimped after seeding. <br />It should be noted that the above is only offered as a hypothetical <br />reclamation plan, both the county and landowner would have to approve <br />a change in the land use as proposed above. <br />The above should satisfy the concerns generated in your adequacy <br />letter. however, if you have additional concerns, please crontact me <br />a~ your conveniePce. <br />TBM is planning on Paving the amendment approved at the January, <br />1981 P4[,R Board r'betinq.
