<br />• OXBOW CARBON & MINERALS, INC. TO OXBOW MINING, INC.
<br />Oxbow Mining, Inc., P.O. Box 535, Somerset, Colorado 81434, a wholly owned subsidiary of
<br />Oxbow Carbon & Minerals, Inc., is applying For a transfer of Colorado Mined Land
<br />Reclamation Permit No. C-81-022 for coal mining (originally issued to Somerset Mining
<br />Company) from Oxbow Carbon & Minerals, Inc.
<br />The mine is located due north of the Town of Somerset, Colorado, which is nine miles
<br />northeast of Paonia, Colorado on Highway 133. The North Fork of the Gunnison River is
<br />located due south of Somerset. The Sanborn Creek Mine is located approximately one mile
<br />east of Somerset at a location that is north of Highway 133 and north of the railroad tracks.
<br />The Somerset and Sanborn Creek Mine permit area is located in portions of the following
<br />described lands.
