Long <br />Division Director <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 81506 <br />RE: Technical Revision No. 38, Methane Monitoring Drill Hole, Bowie No. 1 Mine, Permit <br />No. C-81-038, Bowie Resources Limited. <br />Dear Mr. Stover: <br />The Division has finished its review of Bowie Resources Limited's (BRL) submittal of TR-38 <br />and has the following questions or comments: <br />Attached is the Division's reclamation bond estimate for TR-38. The Division's liability <br />estimate is $14,470.00. This is $9,763.00 more than Bowie's estimate of $4,677.00. <br />There are three reasons for this difference in estimates. First, BRL used old equipment <br />costs. Second, BRL does not include costs for topsoil replacement in their estimate. <br />Third, BRL does not include any indirect costs in their estimate. Please let the Division <br />know if this estimate is acceptable. <br />2. Map 8-8 shows a collection ditch at each of the three pads. Please provide designs for <br />these three ditches. <br />Please either explain why the pad that is proposed in TR-38 does not need an upland <br />diversion ditch or provide an appropriate ditch design and a revised pad diagram. <br />4. Please designate, in an appropriate permit text location, which generic design applies to <br />the monitoring hole pad for TR-38. <br />Please provide a proposed well completion diagram for the methane monitoring hole. <br />6. Upon installation, please provide a completion diagram for the methane monitoring hole. <br />
