Terry Ireland of our staff also talked to
you on August 19, 1993 about the project. You indicated that the water that
would be used for this project has already undergone Section 7 consultation
and, therefore, no additional water depletion to the Upper Colorado River
Basin (UCRB) would occur. Consequently, no impacts to the endangered fishes
in the UCRB should occur. Moreover, formal consultation will not need to be
initiated. There are no other threatened Gr endangered species that occur in
the project area.
If the Service can be of further assistance, please contact Terry Ireland at
the letterhead address.
Sincerely,
i h L. ose
Assistant Colorado State Supervisor
pc: FWS/ES, Salt Lake City
FWS/ES, Golden
CDOW, Grand Junction
Tlrel and:COlowash.ltr:08/23/93
