Long
Dinsion o~recun
We have received your letter waiving the decision date for Permit Renewal No. 2 (RN 02). The
review period for the renewal application has been extended, and the new decision due date is
Friday, February 16, 1996. The Division understands that Seneca Coal Company is currently
operating under a heavy permitting workload, necessitating this extension. In the interest of
compliance with Rule 2.01.5(1), however, Seneca should not continue operating on the expired
permit (after December 31, 1995) for an excessive amount of time. Accordingly, Seneca should
ensure that the Division has adequate informatio^ to approve renewal of the permit on or
before February 16, 1996.
If you or your staff have questions or need additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
~~J~
Susan L Bul•gmaier
Environmental Protection Specialist
sLS~iztv9s.wP
