<br /> <br />following acreage tabulation will be incorporated into the reclamation permit upon approval of <br />amendment AM-03: <br /> Current Permit Added by AM-03 Revised Total <br />Affected Acreage 4,085 acres 53.36 acres 4,138.36 acres <br />Permit Acreage 12,502.37 acres 33.70 acres 12,536.07 acres <br />Federal Acreage r. 1 acre 33.70 acres 34.70 acres <br />The following items remain to be addressed prior to the April 20, 1998 decision date in order for the <br />Division to approve or recommend approval of amendment AM-03. If these items cannot be addressed <br />by the decision date, CMC must provide a written request for an extension in order to avoid denial of <br />the amendment application: <br />1. As you know, CMC must address item no. 2 from the Division's Mazch 27, 1998 letter <br />regazding legal right to enter the public land azeas of the amendment AM-03 acreage. <br />2. Please provide a signed copy of your letter dated April 6, 1998. The attachments need not be <br />included with the signed copy of the letter. <br />By providing written comments within the public comment period for the amendment AM-03 <br />application, the Forest Service has reserved the right to a hearing on the application before the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Boazd. The hearing process must proceed unless the Forest <br />Service provides a written statement that their concerns with the application have been adequately <br />addressed. CMC should work with the Forest Service to resolve any remaining concerns in order to <br />avoid the necessity of a hearing. CMC, and the Forest Service by copy of this letter, is advised that the <br />Division will work with the parties to reach resolution on any remaining issues. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />c/ - ~ <br />Allen C.
