I foresaw this when
I wrote the letter to you date March 3, 1995 in which I requested
an extension.
For one thing, I find that the data requested in the EPP is not
nearly so easy to come by as envisioned by whoever wrote the
regulations. A case in point is the SCS soil study. It doesn't
extend, as near as they and I have been able to determine, to the
areas in question. This is just one of many sources of
information (water is another) that is not as specific as the
regulations envision. Maps are another problem. Some will have
to be made. I have started that but need to do more.
The biggest item (though it may not be of much weight to the
Division of Mines & Geology) is that my time has been quite taken
up in trying to get this operation going.
As I originally requested, I would like to have this period
extended to the full amount available.
Very Truly Yours,
`~~~ Q, ~
William D.
