Thus, the principal quarrying operations have <br />moved to the south end of the quarry area. In conjun~=tion with <br />this quarrying, Holnam is hereby applying for bondinc of three <br />parcels within the permit area which have not yet been bonded. <br />These parcels were originally quarried pre-law, but w~-11 now be <br />used in conjunction with further quarrying and stripping <br />operations. <br />Holnam is also applying for the withdrawal of 10.7 acres from the <br />MLRB permit. These 10.7 acres have been covered by a C~=rtificate <br />of Designation, and by Permit No. B9LR036F which was granted by the <br />Colorado Department of Health for a landfill site for th= disposal <br />of silica sludge in a mined-out, pre-law portion of the A-band cut. <br />(See accompanying map.) <br />The three parcels for bonding comprise the remainder of the un- <br />bonded permit area south of the Flood Ditch, with the ex~=eption of <br />approximately 6.5 acres which are in process of being added to the <br />silica sludge landfill, and one un-bonded parcel north of the <br />ditch. <br />Boettcher Limestone Quarry now has 621.7 acres (as measured by <br />planimeter) bonded at the rate of 81152.OU per acre, far a total of <br />5716,232.00. Holnam is hereby requesting that the threer parcels, <br />totaling 76.85 acres be added to the bond at the same ratla, thereby <br />bringing the total bonded acres to 698.55 acres, for a 1=ota1 bond <br />of 8804,730.00. <br />
