A copy was
given to Bob Oswald on Aug. 20, and I am including one. The important facts are
that the water table was at 13 feet, and the pump was at 35 feet. The proposed
excavation is up to about 50 feet deep to close to KE road. Although the water
table may vary seasonably, it should remain above the pump level. There is the
possibility of an eventual 2000 foot cut into the water table parallel to KE road.
It would likely dry up this well, and could affect the water table for other wells
south of KE road. One objection to the water table extending into the gravel
formation was lack of (much) seepage from it at the present pit at the north end.
But this depends on the character of the formation below the gravel. It is possible
the water table sinks under the gravel formation somewhere between KE road and
the present pit area.
Sincerely,
Gary aley
