<br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION
<br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology pro-
<br />poses to Approve Technical Revision Application No.
<br />48 QR-49) for tha Seneca II-W Mme IPermlt No. C-
<br />1982-05]I, submitted by Seneca Coal Company.
<br />i Seneca Coal Company is proposing a revisetl design
<br />for [he NoM portion of the Ridgeline access roaq a
<br />remedia[ion design for iha slump/slides in the A pit
<br />area and a survey verifying the capacity for Pond
<br />o1 BA.
<br />Tha Seneca II-W Mine is a surface coal mine located
<br />~ in Rgutt County, approximately 9 miles south of Hay-
<br />tlen. Coal interastisPrivateandFederal,andthesur-
<br />tace afected is Federal, state and private land. The
<br />permit area encompasses approximately 4,093.00
<br />acres.
<br />This proposed decision is based on a iintling [hat the
<br />proposed operation will comply with all requirements
<br />of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation
<br />Act, Section 34?334101, et seq., C.R.S., and the reg-
<br />ulations promulgated ihereuntler.
<br />Copies of the proposed decision, including stipula-
<br />tions, are on file for public inspection at the Colorado
<br />Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, Cen-
<br />tennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Danveg Col-
<br />oratlo 80203. Persons with an interest that may be
<br />atlversely affected by the proposed decision may
<br />request a formal hearing before Ne Mined Land
<br />Reclamation Board on the proposetl decision. Such
<br />request must be made within ten (10) tlays of the ini-
<br />tial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and
