Heffner <br />37 East Colorado Avenue <br />Denver, CO 80210 <br />03/29/1995 <br />At your request, the Office of Archaeology end Nistoric Preservation has conducted a search of the Colorado <br />Inventory of Cultural Resources for the following locations: <br />PM TNNSXP RANGE SECTIONS: <br />6TH 165 67w 29 30 31 32 33 <br />B site(s) were located in the designated area(s). <br />4 survey(s) were located in the designated area(s). <br />Results of the search are summarized in the attached report. <br />NOTE: If you encounter a linear feature in your project area (railroad, ditch, trail etc.) o• en associated <br />feature (railroad depot, reservoir, etc.) you MUST call Todd NcNahon at i03-866-5216 to fitd out if it has been <br />recorded or not before a Smithsonian number can be assigned. <br />If information on sites in the project area was found, detailed Snf ormetion follows the summary. If no sites or <br />districts were found, but surveys are known to have been conducted in the project area, surv ny information <br />follows the summary. we do not have complete information on surveys conducted in Colorado, e~W our site files <br />cannot be considered complete because most of the state has not been surveyed for cultural resources. There is <br />the possibility that as ye[ unidentified cultural resources exist within the proposed iapac[ Brea. <br />Therefore, in the event there is Federal or State involvement, we recommend that a professio nel survey be <br />conducted to identify any cultural resources in the project area which are eligible to be listed in the <br />National Register of Historic Pteces. Ne look forward to consulting with you regarding the effect of the <br />proposed project on any eLi Bible cultural resource in accordance with the Advisory Council on Historic <br />Preservation Procedures end the Preservation end Protection of Historic and Cultural Resources (36 CFR 800). <br />Please provide this office with the results of the cultural resource survey for our review of professional <br />adequacy and compliance with regulations. <br />If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation et (3D3) 866-3395 <br />or 3392. <br />shank you for your interest in Colorado~s cultural heritage. <br />Susan M.
