3.06 ANCHOR TRENCH <br />• A. The anchor trenches shall be excavated to the lines, grades, and widtlt shown on the <br />DRAWINGS, prior to any geosynthetic material placement. CERTIFYIIVG ENGINEER <br />shall verify that the anchor wench haz been cottswcted according to the DRAWINGS. <br />The anchor trench shall be backfilled and compacted az approved by the MANAGER, <br />ESIGN ENGINEER AND CERTIFYING ENGINEER. Trench backfdl material shall be <br />placed in nine (9) to [welve(12) inch thick loose lifts and compacted by wheel rolling with <br />light, rubber-tired or other light compaction equipment, az approved by CERTIFYING <br />ENGINEER. <br />C. Care shall be taken when backfilling the wenches to prevent any damage to the geosynthetic <br />materials. At no time shall conswction equipment come into direct contac[ widt the <br />geosynthetic materials. If damage occurs, it shall be repaired by the CONTRACTOR prior <br />to the completion of backfdling, at no cost to CC&V. <br />D. Extend geosynthetic materials into the anchor trench as shown in the DRAWINGS. The <br />geosynthetic materials shall be seamed, bonded, or attached along the entire distance of the <br />anchor wench, using approved methods described in this Section. <br />3.07 SURVEY CONTROL: <br />A. SURVEYOR employed by CONTRACTOR will perform pre-construction surveys of surface <br />areas prior to placement of geonet [o determine quantities for payment purpose. <br />MANAGER'S SURVEYOR shall verify quantities. <br />B. The SURVEYOR employed by CONTRACTOR shall provide Rewrd DRAWINGS of the <br />locations and extent of geonet. All values except vansmissivity represent minimum average roll values (i.e., any roll in a production <br />lot should meet or exceed these values). <br />2. The design [ransmissiviry is the hydraulic vansmissiviry of the geonet using water at 68°F ± 3°F with <br />a hydraulic gradient of 1 under a compressive stress of not less than 10,000 psf. For the test, the <br />geonet shall be sandwiched between stainless steel plates.
