Gunnison No. 1 Mine Permit Renewal, - File No. C-80-007 <br />Dear Dennis: <br />We have received comments from the Forest Service, via OSMRE, concerning your <br />response to them dated September 26, 1986. Your responses were adequate with <br />one exception. Therefore the Division is proposing to add the following stipulation <br />to the permit renewal approval. <br />Stipulation <br />"WECC WILL MONITOR (DURING THE GRAZING SEASON ONLY) THE WATER SOURCES (SPRINGS <br />AND STOCK PONDS, ETC.) WHICH ARE DIRECTLY ABOVE AREAS WHICH ARE TO BE RETREAT <br />MINED DURING THE CURRENT GRAZING SEASON. MONITORING WILL BE CONDUCTED ON A <br />MONTHLY BASIS UNLESS CHANGING CONDITIONS REQUIRE A MORE FREQUENT OR LESS FREQUENT <br />MONITORING INTERVAL AS DETERMINED BY THE DISTRICT RANGER." <br />Please review this stipulation and call me, if you have any questions. <br />Sincerely, <br />o:~lJ~ <br />Susan J.
