BALDRIGE: Now, what was the other
question?
MS. KIRCHER: What is the potential for
reaction with other metals inside the tailings pile
over time?
MS. BALDRIGE: Z believe that Adrian
addressed that when he was discussing it earlier,
and he said that the cyanide that was in the
tailings was volatilized. Again, what -- I'm
phrasing what I remember of Adrian's testimony.
But he said it was volatilized in the
tailings. Volatilization would continue to occur in
the tailings once they were disposed. It would
defuse and it could react with other metals to form
total cyanide complexes which are very stable and
non-toxic.
MS. KIRCHER: Okay. And at what
level --
UNIDENTIFIED PERSON: Excuse me. Ca>uld
I ask you please, on this, to direct your questions
to a specific person.
MS.
